5. T-90S:-
The T-90S main armament is the 2A46M 125mm smoothbore tank gun. This is a highly modified version of the Sprut anti-tank gun, and is the same gun used as the main armament on the T-80-series tanks. It can be replaced without dismantling the inner turret and is capable of firing armour-piercing fin-stabilised discarding sabot (APFSDS), high-explosive anti-tank (HEAT-FS), and high explosive fragmentation (HE-FRAG) ammunition, as well as 9M119M Refleks anti-tank guided missiles.
4. Arjun Mark II:-
The Arjun Mark II is an advanced third generation Tank. It's development was completed in 2 years owing to experience gained from developing the first version. It has Outclassed the T-90 during comparative trials. Regarding the trials, a Ministry of Defence press release reported: "After many years of trial and tribulation it has now proved its worth by its best performance under various Circumstances, such as Driving Cross-Country Over, Rugged Sand Dunes, Detecting, Observing and Quickly Engaging Targets.
3. T-72 AJEYA:-
The T-72 Ajeya was designed and First Built in the Soviet Union.
T-72 "Ural" (1973): Original version, armed with 125 mm D-81TM Smoothbore Tank Gun. It also has flipper type Armour Panels. It had the (TPD-2-49) "Talent Planning and Deployment" coincidence optical rangefinder sight protruding from its turret.
2. T-90 BHISHMA:-
In 2001, India purchased 310 T-90S Or (BHISHMA) Tanks from Russia, of which 124 were delivered complete and 186 were to be assembled from kits delivered in various stages of completion with an emphasis on shifting production to Domestic Means. The T-90 was selected because it is a direct development of the T-72 that India already manufactures with 60% parts commonality with T-90, simplifying training and maintenance.
